Job summary

Healthcare Ireland Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Blair House Care Home in Newtownards. You will be part of the kitchen team, delivering meals, assisting with basic food preparation, and helping maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with our Assured Safe Catering standards.

The role supports the wellbeing of residents through high-quality dining experiences, with duties including stocking, delivering supplies, and upholding hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
• Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
• Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
• Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
• Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.
