Job summary

Butlers Mews Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group Ltd, is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team with food preparation and to keep the kitchen clean and safe for meals and drinks.

This bank role has no fixed hours, suiting someone comfortable with physical, fast-paced kitchen work. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required, along with a DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function with food preparation
• Maintain a clean kitchen environment for the safe production of beverages and meals
• Apply safe food handling principles to keep food to high hygiene standards
• Ensure a high-quality, comprehensive service is delivered to residents
• Work as part of a team, responding positively to colleagues
• Carry out reasonable work instructions promptly
• Advise on the supply and quality of items used in tasks
• Order replacement goods in a timely and appropriate way
