Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a part-time Social Care Worker for Seaforth House Care Home in Golspie. The role involves acting as a key worker to develop and monitor individual care plans, promoting independence and person-centred care, and supporting re-enablement for residents.

You will also take on shift leadership and ensure welfare and safety during your watch. Eligible SVQ levels and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) are required or planned, with commitment to

Qualifications

• Minimum SVQ 2 in Social Care with commitment to SVQ3 for registration.
• Eligible for registration with SSSC as a practitioner in a care home for adults.
• Experience in social care and ability to act as key worker and shift leader.
• Trained in medicines administration according to recognised guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker for care home service users and develop care plans.
• Promote person-centred care to maximise independence.
• Support re-enablement for short-term and long-term residents.
• Act as shift leader and take charge of the Care Home when needed.
• Make decisions about welfare and safety when in charge of the Care Home.
• Assess progress against care plans and adjust as needed.
