Job summary

Northcare Scotland is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to join the team at Northcare Residences Glasgow in Clarkston. This role offers full-time or part-time hours and hourly pay of £13.45, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The successful candidate will carry out cleaning, laundry, and infection control tasks while upholding dignity and respect in daily care.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, dependable, and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Right to work in the UK – Northcare is unable to sponsor employment of international workers

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
• Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and storing clothing and linen.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues as required.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout the home.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness.
