Job summary

Rochcare, a family-run care home operator, is hiring a Housekeeper. The role focuses on keeping bedrooms and communal areas exceptionally clean, maintaining safe and welcoming spaces for residents, staff and visitors. Reports to Admin, Manager and Deputy Manager, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

The position offers a £250 welcome bonus and a pay rate up to £12.71 per hour. Bank rolls are included with a schedule from 8am to 4pm, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• To complete daily cleaning requirements to bedrooms and communal areas to an exceptional standard within the allocated timeframe.
• To report very dirty rooms, damages or any other unusual occurrences to the relevant manager.
• To inspect bed linen and towels when changing beds and bathrooms, ensuring fresh, clean and stain-free linen.
• To be aware of the condition of all areas of the home and report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Operative.
• To dispose of rubbish correctly and separate recyclables.
• To follow cleaning material instructions and safety regulations.
• To report safety hazards or defects that cannot be rectified to the relevant manager.
• To comply with internal rules, health and safety, data protection and team handbook provisions.
