Job description

Care home and private healthcare Chef's

Environments: Care homes, Nursing homes, retirement villages, and private healthcare clinics and institutes.

Location: SW London
Contract type: 40-48 hours per week
Hourly rate: £20-28 per hour paid weekly.

We are currently looking to recruit an Enhanced DBS Chefs Manager, working within Care homes.

PLEASE NOTE: To work within this environment, you must have an enhanced DBS covering the adult workforce, within the last 12 months or on the update service.
If you don't have a DBS, you must be willing to undergo all the required checks with us to obtain one. (This will be at a cost)

Main Duties
* Work as part of a team
* Putting away stock and deliveries.
* Food orders
* IDDSI Trained - Preparation of food including a variety of diets such as texture diets, blended meals, and modified meals.
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety requirements
* Cooking nutritious food within specified requirements
* Ensuring a clean-as-you-go policy is maintained
* Managing 3 other chefs and 3-4 Catering Assistants
* Previous experience as a Chef Manager in care or nursing homes
* Experience with the IDDSI framework for texture diets
* Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Required Skills
* Level 2 or Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (dated within the last 3 years)
* Passion for food
* A DBS (essential as mentioned above)

Working Hours: You can choose your weekly rota; hours will vary.
