Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Assistant Facilities Housekeeper to help deliver a high-quality facilities management service in a Care Home/Extra Care Home environment. The post requires deputising for the Facilities Housekeeper, supporting menu planning, portion control, and food preparation, while monitoring hygiene and safety. Evening and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering background is essential.
• An elementary food hygiene certificate is desirable.
• Effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills required.
• Evening and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a high-quality catering service and oversee the cleaning service.
• Deputise for the Facilities Housekeeper on their days off.
• Monitor cleaning standards, supervise staff, and ensure hygiene, health and safety.
