Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Care Home Deputy Manager to support the General Manager, lead a multidisciplinary team and uphold high care standards. You will help ensure residents receive the best possible quality of life and will drive improvements through audits and compliant practice.

You will bring experience with safeguarding investigations, risk assessments and some HR exposure, along with budget awareness and a commitment to compassionate, energetic leadership in a busy care home

Qualifications

• Experience helping residents with different health needs.
• Track record of managing safeguarding investigations and risk assessments.
• Some HR experience and understanding of budget management, sales and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high‑quality care and lead when the General Manager is absent.
• Inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver the best possible resident quality of life.
• Monitor standards through audits, supervised practice and regulatory compliance checks.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Care Home DeputyManagerof a Barchester care home, you’ll support the delivery of the quality care we’re known for. Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you can expect to help with everything from ensuring care standards to motivating your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised practice and checking our regulatory compliance. You’ll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals.
