Job summary

Norse Catering is hiring a Cook at Rebecca Court in Kings Lynn. The role is 27 hours per week at £14.36 per hour, with responsibilities including cooking and supervising the catering team to deliver meals for residents in the care home.

You will work in a busy kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety and resident satisfaction while supporting the care team with menus and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen environment with an organized approach.
• Good understanding of the food industry, ideally with knowledge of textured modified diets (IDDSI).
• Ability to work to a set budget and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents.
• Supervise the onsite catering team and ensure service delivery in the absence of the Cook Manager.
• Collaborate with the care home team on food safety, legal compliance and menu cycles.
