Job summary

KYN Bickley is seeking a Commis Chef on a permanent contract to support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety and hygiene within a busy care home kitchen.

You will assist in food preparation, stock handling and maintain brand standards while working 40 hours per week at the Bickley site.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospitality venue.
• Proven track record of maintaining high kitchen standards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef for smooth kitchen operation and meal delivery.
• Ensure dishes meet KYN standards in presentation and quality.
• Maintain high cleanliness and best practices in kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with stock receipt, mise-en-place and temperature checks as required.
