Job description

Are you an experienced Care Home Chef with excellent knowledge of textured diets and allergens? We want to hear from you. Our client, in Edinburgh, is looking for exceptional chefs to step in a deliver delicious, healthy meals to its residents whilst maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.


In this role you will be able to step in and be an integral part of the kitchen. Prepping food for the day and cooking healthy, balanced meals, to a high standard. You will be responsible for the textured diets for its residents and must have proven knowledge of this. You will collaborate with the management and care team and assist with all duties including post service clean down.


Proven record in a care home setting is mandatory. Must be able to supply an up to date food safety level 2 or 3 certificate. Allergens certificate is beneficial. PVG membership number must be provided for renewal.


Candidates must be able to cope with all resident dietary requirements and maintain professionalism at all times.


Your rate of pay will start at £16 per hour and will be paid to you on a weekly basis. Your holiday pay will be accrued on top of your hourly rate.
