A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Care Home Chef (Bank) to prepare meals for elderly residents at their care homes in Aylesbury and Weston Turville. Care Home Chef (Bank) – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Location: Byron House Care Home, 141-143 Wendover Road, Aylesbury, HP21 9LP / Hampden Hall Care Centre, Tamarisk Way, Weston Turville, Aylesbury, HP22 5ZB

Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour

Hours: Zero hour contract

Shifts: to be discussed at interview

We are looking for a compassionate and caring Chef (bank) to join our family at both Byron House Care Home and Hampden Hall Care Centre. About The Role

Prepare hot and cold meals for residents according to their needs and preferences
Assist with planning seasonal menus
Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and regulations
Carry out checks in the kitchen as required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, for example recording fridge temperatures
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment, including washing and clearing up equipment
Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the home

About You

The right to live and work in the UK
Previous experience in a similar role and setting (i.e. a care home or a school)
Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene
Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
A positive and flexible attitude towards work and the ability to work well in a team
