Job summary

Platinum Employment are seeking a Care Home Chef in Lowestoft to support a care home on a temporary basis. You will join a friendly kitchen team, producing nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences while maintaining high food-safety standards.

This role offers weekly pay, ongoing consultant support, DBS update assistance, and the option to work locally in Lowestoft or across the UK, with alternate weekends required to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• IDDSI training required.
• Level 2/3 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Food Allergen Certificate required.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on update service or dated within 1 year required.
• Previous care home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bring experience from care homes or professional kitchen environments.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen team.
• Plan and prepare appealing, nutritious meals meeting residents' dietary needs.
• Ensure kitchen remains clean and adheres to food safety standards.
