Job summary

Platinum Employment is seeking a Care Home Chef in Ampthill on a temporary basis. Earn £17.50 per hour with weekly pay and dedicated agency support. You will plan nutritious meals, handle residents’ dietary needs, and work with a friendly kitchen team. DBS updates and local assignments across the UK are available.

Ideal candidates have care home kitchen experience, IDDSI training, Level 2/3 Food Hygiene, and an Enhanced DBS certificate on update service or within the last year.

Qualifications

• IDDSI training required.
• Level 2/3 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Food Allergen Certificate required.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or dated within 1 year.
• Previous care home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals meeting residents' needs and dietary requirements.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen team.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen environment and comply with food safety standards.
• Support with a flexible schedule including alternate weekends.
