Role Responsibilities:

• Support the head chef in planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals
• Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary and medical requirements
• Cater to individual preferences and specific medical needs, such as allergies or soft diets
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure enjoyable meal times
• Deputise for the head chef during absences, maintaining quality standards

About You:

• Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a care or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Customer care and service-oriented mindset
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent in food preparation/cooking
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Understanding of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
• Empathy and desire to positively impact residents’ lives
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
