Job description

Job Role: Residential Care Assistant Manager

Location: Tring, Hertfordshire

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP37,000 DOE

Job Type: Permanent

Our client is looking for an experienced Elderly Care Professional to join their team. You may be an experienced Senior Care Assistant seeking your next step or an existing Assistant Manager looking for a new challenge.

The successful candidate will be required to work every other weekend, with one week working weekend hours and the following week having two days off.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in running the home efficiently and compassionately.
  2. Supervise staff members.
  3. Provide direct care on a day-to-day basis.
  4. Report directly to the Home Manager or their representative regarding all duties performed, in accordance with the employment contract.
  5. Ensure the home operates to high standards, meeting requirements of the proprietors, Local Authority, Social Services, and Fire Prevention Officer.
  6. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining staff training programs.
  7. Manage the ordering, recording, administration, and disposal of medications in the home.
  8. Assist in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and staff mix.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  2. Experience in dementia care.
