Job Description
Barchester Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Administrator to join our team. This pivotal role within the home's management team involves supporting the General Manager to ensure the efficient operation of a high-quality care home. Responsibilities include managing customer experience, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance, and supervising junior administrative staff.
The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, professional, enthusiastic, and able to communicate positively about the home, creating a strong impression. Strong IT skills, excellent organization, and the ability to direct others are essential.
Responsibilities
- Promote a warm, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Manage enquiries and show rounds for prospective families, maintaining the customer database to support home performance and enquiry conversion.
- Enhance the occupancy and reputation of the care home through community engagement.
- Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care.
- Assist in recruiting staff, completing employment checks, and organizing inductions.
- Prepare payroll for home-based staff.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR queries using available tools and resources.
- Ensure personal files are securely stored.
- Attend meetings, producing accurate notes and minutes as required.
- Manage staff rotas, safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts.
- Update staff training, supervisions, and appraisals records.
- Guide staff development opportunities, including apprenticeships and qualifications.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Involvement in HR administration and recruitment.
- High attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Possession of a CIPD qualification is beneficial.
