Job summary

Somerset Care Group operates a Cooksons Court care home in Yeovil. The role offers 33.75 hours per week with shifts 9am–5pm and Sundays included. Pay ranges £12.73–£13.78 per hour, with full induction and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care home setting.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for people.
• Able to work alternate weekends.
• Hours available (per week): 33.75 hours.

Responsibilities

• Create, organise and offer Service Users a stimulating programme of activities.
• Work with the Care Assistant to encourage Service Users to take part in activities and provide one-to-one support.
• Maintain and support the residents' daily living skills.
• Organise regular outings for Service Users and coordinate transport and catering.
• Advertise forthcoming events externally and within the home as appropriate.
• Report observations of changes in health or mood to the team.
• Identify residents' social preferences and offer group or one-to-one activities.
