for elderly residents and support their social needs and enhance wellbeing in this family-run group of care homes. We are looking for an enthusiastic Coordinator who can develop and plan programs, outings, and events, providing a wonderful experience for residents within a generous wellbeing and activities budget for the home. Competitive pay rate, in a fantastic, supportive environment with excellent learning and development opportunities.

Part-Time. Flexible hours / shift pattern. Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm.

Experience as an Activities Coordinator in a similar residential care home will be ideal, especially experience working with older people. A good level of both written and spoken English is an essential requirement for the role. We are looking for someone warm, friendly, and skilled at enhancing the social, wellbeing, and lifestyle experiences of residents.

Responsibilities
  1. Organise and plan activity programmes reflecting service users’ preferences and keep up-to-date records using Person-centred software care planning program (PCS).
  2. Assist the Group marketing consultant with the production of quarterly newsletters to inform service users and their relatives/friends about what is going on in the home.
  3. Support service users to access the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, Skype, and FaceTime.
  4. Plan events within the allocated budget.
  5. Ensure service users are at the heart of planning events, activities, and outings of their choice to enhance their wellbeing.
  6. Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
