Job summary

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a Care Home Activities Lead for our Willows Care Home in Milton Keynes. You will design and deliver engaging activities and a lifestyle programme to enhance the wellbeing and social enjoyment of residents, involving teams, family members, and residents themselves.

The role offers 35 hours per week, with shifts 8am to 4pm and occasional weekend work, and a pay rate of £13.45–£14.15 per hour depending on experience.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Home Activities Lead to join our team at our Willows Care Home in Milton Keynes, you will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support. Excelcare is a family-owned care home group established for over 34 years. We provide the highest standards of care to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. By joining us you will become one of the 'family' and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:

• £13.45 - £14.15per hour depending on experience and qualifications
• Hours are 35 per week. 8am to 4pm Monday to Sunday. (Some Weekends will need to be required.)

About the role:

• As the Care Home Activities Lead, you will be required to create and organise meaningful and engaging activities and a lifestyle programme throughout the home to enrich the lives of people living in the care home
• To do this you will need to include the teams, family members and the people living in our home to establish an understanding of the activities and lifestyle changes that would benefit them individually or as a group
• This could include activities within the home or creating partnerships with local community organisations, schools, colleges, churches and much more
• Planning days out is also encouraged, therefore a good knowledge of surrounding areas and external organisations is desirable
• This role aims to offer choice and empower the people living in the care home to create an enjoyable and social environment where we strive to ensure their individual outcomes are achieved

• Experience within a similar role is desirable or previous experience in a caring environment
