Care Group Management Secretary

To support the needs of the Specialist Cancer and Support Services Care Group Management Team with duties including managing diaries, minute taking, setting up and managing annual leave across the group and organising meetings. A high level of computer literacy is required.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

Person Specification
Qualification
  • Typing qualification to RSA II level or equivalent practical experience
  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or similar area or equivalent level of experience
  • Hold a minimum of three GCSE 9-4 passes or equivalent
  • Relevant IT qualification or equivalent level of experience
Skills & Knoewledge
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment (face to face and on the telephone) demonstrating positive customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone skills and telephone manner
  • Minute taking skills
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills. Able to work well using own initiative
  • Able to deal with conflicting priorities and a complex workload
  • Experience of setting up and running effective office systems
  • Ability to manage own workload and work on own initiative, dealing with conflicting priorities and able to meet demands of working in a busy environment through commitment to working to deadlines and providing updates as to progress.
Experience
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Able to demonstrate secretarial experience supporting a busy senior management team.
  • Experience in using electronic scheduling/diary systems.
  • Evidence of effective use of MS Office packages including Windows, especially regular use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Other requirements
  • Flexible in working time as to the needs of the post
  • Willing to undertake any training and development relevant to the post.
  • Ability to travel and work across HUTH sites as required
