Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a Maintenance Operative for the Shrewsbury site to manage domestic repairs and routine maintenance. You will help keep the premises clean, safe and well-maintained for students, with emphasis on compliance and quality record-keeping.

The role requires visiting and inspecting areas, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring environments meet regulatory standards while supporting a positive educational setting.

Qualifications

• The Maintenance Operative will have building and maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with compliance and record keeping.
• A trade background preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic repairs and maintenance across the premises.
• Ensure the environment is safe, welcoming, clean and well maintained for students.
• Provide high standard records and reports for the site.
• Participate in regular audits of the quality systems as necessary.
• Undertake regular inspections and address contractor works to required standards.
• Ensure compliance with current national regulations for facilities and environmental health.
