Job Description:

We’re looking for a part-time Care Coordinator / Welfare Coordinator to join one of the largest and oldest Friendly Societies in the UK at their West London District Branch in Hammersmith and covering the surrounding areas from Acton to South Kensington. This role is not suitable for remote working.

About the role

As Care Coordinator / Welfare Coordinator, you will:

  • Be the main point of contact for members regarding care and welfare matters, offering support directly or with the help of volunteer Welfare Visitors
  • Provide high-quality care and welfare support, mainly to older and/or vulnerable people
  • Carry out administrative and development tasks including maintaining records, submitting reports, and complying with relevant care and welfare requirements
  • Work in the branch and occasionally make member visits in the District area

About you

  • Some knowledge of accessing support from statutory and voluntary health and social care agencies
  • Flexible and prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, and email applications

Experience in a health, social care, or advice setting would be an advantage.

Hours and rewards

This part-time, permanent role is based on a successful probationary period. You will work 8-15 hours per week (negotiable), including occasional evenings and weekends. The pay rate is £15-£17 per hour (London weighting), depending on experience. Benefits include paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.

Please note: an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
