Job Description

This is a part-time position with a three-month probationary period (which may be extended). The role is expected to transition to full-time after the probation, so applicants must be available to move to full-time hours.

Salary: £14,000 – £24,000 per year, depending on experience and hours.

The Scheduler/Care Coordinator is responsible for scheduling Care Professionals’ visits to our Clients. This role is vital to ensuring that our Clients receive the very best care and support.

The Scheduler/Care Coordinator will be expected to perform a variety of duties, including organising all rotas and making sure that all Care Professionals and Clients are aware of their working schedules. Strong personal skills are essential as the role involves liaison with the whole team to ensure clients’ needs are met.

The Care Coordinator works closely with and reports directly to the Care Manager. One of the main duties of this job is to handle the assigned administrative work in a timely and efficient manner.

Duties include:
  1. Organising all rotas and staffing requirements
  2. Ensuring all staff and clients are aware of working schedules
  3. Being responsive to changes in the schedules and liaison with relevant team members
  4. Undertaking any support or admin duties as required by the Business Owner or Registered Care Manager
  5. Ensuring all data is kept up-to-date
  6. Answering the telephone in a polite, professional manner and passing on clear messages in a timely way
Qualifications
  1. Ideally, an experienced Scheduler within a care setting
  2. An excellent, professional communicator
  3. Experience of working with scheduling software (ideally People Planner)
  4. Good understanding of all Microsoft Office programs
  5. Experience in office administration
  6. Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English
  7. Ability to think flexibly and to use your initiative
  8. Attention to detail
  9. A driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential
