Were offering an exciting opportunityto join The Tutbury Practice in a key administrative and patient-facing role.As a Care Coordinator / Administrator, you'll play a vital part in supportingour high-quality, patient-centred care by acting as the link between patients,clinicians, and our wider healthcare team.

The role will provide support for thetriaging clinician by care navigating patients to the correct services andbooking patients into appropriate slot types. In addition to this they will be completingadministrative tasks as listed above.

Working Pattern Full time role. Pattern to be negotiatedacross 5 days a week. Overtime is expected and may be requested at short noticedue for sickness/holiday cover. Cover would be required for Reception purposesin extreme situations.

  • Registrations/deductions
  • Cancer care reviews/ Cancer care MTD meetings
  • CHS booking appointments
  • Coding and summarizing patient records
  • Navigating patient care with Accurx Triage
  • Supporting patients with additional care needs

Were seeking a team member with a strong understanding of general practice administration. Ideally, you will have experience within general practice. If youre detail-oriented, organized, and ready to make a meaningful impact, this role is for you!

TheTutbury Practice is a rural GP surgery located in Tutbury, serving patientsfrom nearby areas such as Rolleston, Hatton, and Stretton. Our practice has apatient population of just over 8,500. Our clinical team includes two GP partners, threesalaried GPs, a GP Registrar, a clinical pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, andan experienced nursing team, all supported by a friendly and dedicated adminand reception staff.

Job responsibilities

Main duties of the job

  • Manage patient registrations and deductions
  • Coordinate cancer care reviews and MDT meetings
  • Book baby immunisations and check ups
  • Admin support for the nursing team
  • Monitor and code immunisations and vaccinations
  • Maintain the Carers Register
  • Handle GP2GP transfers and email correspondence
  • Support colleagues by covering administrative/reception roles intimes of need
  • Culling, coding and summarizing patient records
  • Administration support for the Accurx Triage clinician
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • - NHS / Primary Care (GP Practice) experience
  • - Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (MS Office)
  • - GCSE Grade AC (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • - Strong communicator with good attention to detail
  • - Organised, self-motivated, and discreet with confidential information
  • - Able to remain professional under pressure
  • - Flexible, resilient, and team-oriented
  • - Familiarity with EMIS, DOCMAN, ERS
  • - Understanding of GP administrative systems (referrals, coding, Care Coordination)
  • - Prior experience with patient registrations and care review processes
