Job description

Co-ordinator Support/ Care Co-ordinator

Location: Primarily based at their office in Lympne, but covering care calls when required. (Applicants must live within the Ashford, Hythe, Folkestone, Lympne area, due to the emergency care calls requirement it is not possible to commute further afield for this role.)

Salary: A£24,000 Pro rata plus on call payment

Hours: 25 Hours (Part time contract) Mon-Fri 8am - 1pm plus on call

The company is a growing domiciliary care service covering Ashford, Folkestone, Dover and the Marsh, they ensure their service users are at the centre of what they do.

They are a CQC Registered Care Agency with a rating of 'Good' Overall. They are very proud to have maintained this rating and have a healthy reputation in the community.

The Role

They are looking for an organised, confident and caring individual to join their team. You will provide support for the Senior Co-ordinator for all aspects of the business. This is a new role with great growth potential with the view to becoming the Care Co-ordinator for the Ashford area. In addition to the office work duties, there will be some requirement to cover care calls in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Providing support to the Senior Co-ordinator by:
  2. Answering phone calls and emails
  3. Liaising with OT's, service Managers and other relevant people
  4. Ensuring service user and carer records are kept up to date
  5. Supporting with any office admin as required
  6. Providing support for staff rota management
  7. Covering the Senior Co-ordinator position when required (Once training is complete)
  8. On call responsibilities - One weekend per month and one evening per week
  9. Covering care calls throughout the business areas when required.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Driver with own transport essential
  2. Care experience essential - min 1 year
  3. Computer efficient
  4. Confident to speak with people from various levels
  5. Able to cover one weekend on call per month and one evening per week. (Paid in addition to salary)
  6. When applicable, covering emergency care calls
