CAMEO, the award-winning service, operates across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust via two established bases in their busy cities.

Location and Role

This post will be located in the vibrant, multicultural city of Cambridge. We are seeking highly trained and dedicated Band 6 Care Coordinators: Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists. The practitioner will provide specialist advice, assess, plan, and implement care for a designated caseload while promoting the EI ethos. Ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and their families/carers through family intervention models is essential.

Candidate Requirements
  • Compassionate, committed, with a good working knowledge of psychosis.
  • Passionate about the values underpinning EI work and supporting service users throughout their recovery journey.
  • Strong background in mental health, team-oriented, with a good work ethic.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a sense of accountability and a desire for innovation.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing a defined caseload.
  • Experience in assessing individuals and their families with complex health presentations, including higher risk cases.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidelines and Trust policies.
  • Supervision experience of junior staff and trainees (mentorship/preceptorship qualifications preferred).
  • Ability to work flexibly, supporting agile working and using appropriate IT equipment.
Responsibilities
  1. Undertake assessments and develop care plans based on recovery principles.
  2. Offer specialist assessments and advice as needed.
  3. Manage and review ongoing risks collaboratively with service users and carers.
  4. Ensure clinical practice is evidence-based and aligns with NICE guidelines and Trust policies.
  5. Provide supervision to junior staff and trainees where appropriate.
  6. Act within the relevant Code of Conduct based on your registration body.
