This is a part-time post, and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.

Job Description

Do you have the experience to join us as a Care Coordinator in a modern 56-bedded care home? Your responsibilities will include leading and directing the care team to ensure the delivery of person-centred care.

You will promote and encourage staff interaction with care, meaningful activity, and infection control processes. Your role will involve developing and supporting staff throughout your shift. You will lead and support with H&S and all fire procedures within the building. You will be part of our management team within Crosslet House, and your role will include promoting quality standards to comply with current legislation and council policy. You will carry out the necessary administrative procedures and contribute to staff development, managing all aspects of the electronic medication system and care planning system. We welcome applicants who enjoy being part of our busy team.

You should have or be working towards SVQ 4 in Care and a Professional Development Award or equivalent. You should be able to register with SSSC.

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer is made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
