Job Role: Support worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will assist with daily routines, including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help care for patients in hospitals, homes, or clinics. They are essential team members in healthcare settings.

Previous care experience and/or qualifications are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare assistants. Your duties may include:

1. Helping patients with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene
2. Assisting with feeding and serving food
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Providing emotional support to patients
6. Assisting with mobility and transfers
7. Helping patients with toileting needs
8. Maintaining cleanliness and supplies in the ward or home

Your daily work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply nurses, including General Nurses, RGN, NMC registered, Band 5 and 6, Community Nurses, and Specialist Nurses for NHS and private sectors. Roles include A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre nurses.
