Job Role: Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

Candidates with some experience in care and a compassionate nature are preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, dressing
• Assisting with feeding and serving food
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Providing companionship to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
• Managing supplies and equipment

Work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospital departments. With experience, training new healthcare assistants may be involved.
