Care Assistant - Night shifts. 33h per week

The role of a Care Assistant is vital in supporting residents within Orchard homes. We ensure everyone is cared for with dignity, respect, and engagement in their support. You will play a key role in facilitating meaningful activities and providing support tailored to individual needs.

Main Duties
  1. Enable residents to remain as independent as possible by providing support according to their needs, including personal care such as washing, dressing, and oral care.

  2. Be understanding and patient, encouraging participation in leisure activities suited to individual preferences, and supporting outside appointments and outings.

  3. Make and change beds, tidy rooms, undertake light cleaning, and ensure the home remains clean, welcoming, and pleasant.

  4. Assist in serving meals and drinks, presenting them attractively, and providing appropriate support during mealtimes.

  5. Understand and comply with all relevant statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act, and Infection Prevention and Control policies, to maintain a safe environment.
