Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will aid with daily care activities and are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous care experience and/or qualifications are essential.

You will work under the supervision of nursing staff, assisting with tasks such as:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving or assisting with meals
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Helping with toileting needs
• Maintaining a tidy environment and managing supplies

Daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
