Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join an established care team in a purpose-built home for elderly residents with physical health needs and dementia care. Dementia experience is advantageous but not essential.

You will support daily living activities, monitor residents, and assist with medication rounds using MAR charts. Ongoing hours are available, with a potential permanent role for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months' experience in a care environment.
• DBS check dated within the last 6 months or facility pays for one.
• Up-to-date mandatory training and relevant certificates preferred.
• Two years of referenceable work history.

Responsibilities

• Attend to daily living activities; ensure hydration and comfort.
• Housekeeping including laundry and cleaning client rooms.
• Observe conditions and report via reporting system.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and report issues.

My Client is looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to integrate into an established team of Care staff in this lovely Care home. This purpose-built care home supports elderly people with Physical Health Needs and Dementia Care Needs in a homely and relaxing environment. Dementia care experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Daily tasks will include:

• Attend to client’s activities of daily living ensuring that they are always well hydrated and comfortable.
• General Housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning client’s rooms.
• Observations of client’s conditions and reporting accordingly using the company’s bespoke reporting systems
• You must always comply with health and safety in a professional manner and report any safety issues immediately.

For this role, you must have;

• A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
• A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
• All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
• Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years
• A passion to make a difference
• Assist with medication rounds using MAR charts and boxed medications.

Shift times

• Day Shifts – 0700 to 1430
• Other shifts available on request.

Rates of pay are £12.75 per hour and you will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year for time served.
