Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics, assisting with daily care tasks such as personal hygiene, feeding, bed-making, patient mobility, and ensuring a clean environment.

As a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker, you will work under supervision of nursing staff, assisting with tasks such as:

• Helping patients with washing, dressing, and feeding
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Supporting patients to use the toilet and change beds
• Engaging with patients to reduce anxiety
• Maintaining a tidy environment and managing supplies

Your duties may include using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new staff.
