Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.

They help with the daily care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own homes, playing a vital role in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker, you will work under nursing staff supervision, alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping with toileting needs
• Maintaining cleanliness of the ward or patients' homes
• Managing supplies and equipment

Experience with mobility aids and escorting patients is beneficial. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
