Job summary

Aligned Support Services is seeking experienced Care Assistants to support service users across Derby and Derbyshire. This agency role offers flexible hours and shifts with zero-hour contracts and weekly pay.

You will promote welfare, follow care plans, and complete necessary paperwork across diverse placements. DBS checks are supported, training updated, and you can work around other commitments with flexible patterns and transport assistance.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply with guidance.
• AT LEAST 6 months paid UK work experience in Care, Support, or Domiciliary work setting.
• Have a good level of English (written & verbal).
• Completed Mandatory Training within the last 12 months with access to certificates.
• Able to provide a min of two references covering the last 5 years, prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• To promote the welfare, safety, personal development and well-being of service users
• Protecting the confidentiality of all service users
• Recognise signs of abuse and report through necessary channels
• Follow instructions and care plans at individual settings/placements
• Participate in day-to-day operation of the service per guidelines
• Complete all necessary paperwork and records
• Monitor and complete observations as required
• Assist with all daily routines including personal hygiene and appearance

Aligned Support Services are currently recruiting Care Assistants around Derbyshire and Derby (DE).

As a Care Assistant you would work in a variety of placements across the county.

Please note this is Agency/Temp Work suitable for those requiring full control of their work pattern. You can choose the hours and days that suit you, both full time, part time or to fit around another job.

If you have experience working within care, support, hospitals or are studying towards a Health and Social Education based qualification – We want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

• To promote the welfare, safety, personal development and well-being of service users

• To follow instructions and care plans at individual settings/ placements
• To participate in the day-to-day operation of the service provided in accordance with organisational guidelines and objectives
• Complete all necessary paperwork and records.
• Monitoring and completing observations as required
• Assisting with all daily routines including personal hygiene and appearance

Shifts

• Days (Mornings or Lates)
• 12-hour shifts
• Waking Nights

Job Types

Zero Hour Contract, Temporary contract.

Very competitive rates, based on experience.

Experience

Support work, care work and health care assistants: 6 months (preferred)

License / Certification

• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not required)

Work Location

Covering shifts in and around Derby (DE) and Derbyshire area

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a valid DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one with our guidance. If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly.
• Will have AT LEAST 6 months paid UK work experience in Care, Support, or Domiciliary work setting.
• Have a good level of English (written & verbal) skills.
• Completed Mandatory Training within the last 12 months and have access to the training certificates. If your mandatory training has expired, you will need to complete online refresher courses. We can offer guidance and support with this.
• Able to provide a min of two references to cover the last 5 years, prior to starting your assignment.
• Flexible to travel to different work locations to cover shifts according to your preferences.
