The Lodge CQC rated overall outstanding seeks to recruit to the following role:

Care Assistant

19.45-07.45 – 3 nights over a 2 week rota. (Week 1 Sunday night, Week 2 Saturday and Sunday nights)

£13.31-£13.55 per hour plus excellent benefits.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
  2. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
  3. Follow individual care plans and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
  5. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits.
  6. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
  7. Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all residents.
Qualifications
  1. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  2. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  4. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  5. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
