Job summary

Greenwood Homecare is recruiting compassionate individuals to be Care Assistants in Grantham and surrounding villages. No prior care experience needed as full paid training is provided, with ongoing support to help you succeed.

You will support elderly and vulnerable people at home, helping them stay independent and comfortable, with pay progression and guaranteed hours contracts available.

Qualifications

• Must live within the Grantham area
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
• Willingness to travel to nearby villages
• A caring, patient and reliable nature

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You will provide essential support to elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes, helping them remain independent and comfortable.

Duties

• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Preparing meals and supporting nutrition
• Administering or prompting medication
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry)
• Supporting independence, dignity and wellbeing

No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

Pay and Benefits

• £14.50 per hour (weekday rate)
• £15.00 per hour (weekends)
• £17.70 per hour (bank holidays)
• Paid mileage at 35p per mile
• Pay progression based on length of service
