The Support Worker role provides direct care and practical support to adults with care and support needs. The post focuses on promoting independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing for people using the service. Duties include personal care, social support, domestic tasks, record‑keeping, medication administration, and maintaining safe environments. The role requires working as part of a multidisciplinary team, following care plans, updating risk assessments, and ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care.

The worker must uphold Worcestershire County Council values: customer focus, proactive problem‑solving, and responsible decision‑making. The role involves emotional resilience, physical tasks (moving and handling), confidentiality, equality, and safeguarding responsibilities.
