Care Assistant/s for an autistic man in his 30’s in the DH8 area £13.00 per hour - Consett - DH8

Care Assistant for an autistic man in his 30’s with mild learning disabilities, he is living in the Castleside area of Consett, he is looking for a PA to support him for 1 evening per week (approx. 4 hours) and also up to 6 hours on a Saturday. Hours can be split depending on availability of candidate.

£13.00 per hour

Additional hours may be available to cover holidays and sickness

The Personal Assistant (PA) will be required to support this man, who has interests in animation, drama, 60’s music and steam trains to access the community and social activities such as the library, shopping outlets and/or visiting his peer groups.

Experience and an understanding of Autism would be desirable, but training will be provided if you are a suitable applicant as the important requirement would be for this man to feel comfortable with you.
Occasionally, the successful applicant may be required to provide a sit-in service, which might include the preparation of a light meal.

It is essential that the PA is a driver with a clean drivers licence.

A DBS will be required but this will be paid for by the employer
