Overview

Care Assistant (Social Care)

Contract: Permanent with guaranteed hours • Hours: Full time or part-time available, includes working every other weekend • Shifts: 7am – 1.30pm, 4pm – 10.30pm

Role and Responsibilities
  • As a Care Assistant in reablement, you’ll be playing a key role in helping our customers regain their independence and continue living in their own home. This could include helping clients to relearn skills in their lives, such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals.
  • You don’t need to have any previous experience as we will provide you with all the training you need.
  • After induction training, you will be assigned a mentor who will work with you until you are confident in the role. We support progression within the company, paying for ongoing specialist training, nationally recognised qualifications and well-being support.
Requirements
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
  • Travel required – you will be required to travel around Romford and the surrounding area including Hornchurch, Upminster, Gidea Park, Harold Wood, Rainham, Collier Row, Emerson Park, Elm Park, Corbet’s Tey and Harold Hill.
  • Access to a car and business insurance is needed for community care duties.

  • Salary: £13.85 per hour
  • 45p per mile tax-free for travel
  • Guaranteed weekly hours – hourly rate paid for your entire shift
