Job summary

Bayford House Care Home in Stockcross, Newbury, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities on a full-time rota. You’ll help maintain care plans, observe changes, and promote wellbeing in a compassionate, person-centred way.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Desirable: prior care home experience or Health & Social Care qualification.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and document changes in residents’ behaviour as required.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration according to care plans.
• Provide stimulation through social and recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
