Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and committed Care Assistants to join our dynamic team at our newly built Middlefields House, which caters for 48 residents. We provide 24/7 care to older and sometimes sick residents, and are looking for both day and night staff.

Our Christian ethos is central to our values, ensuring the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of residents are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, professional care to residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing.
  • Support residents with eating and drinking.
  • Build relationships to offer comfort, assistance, and reassurance.
  • Respect and treat residents as individuals with unique needs.
  • Uphold residents' dignity and respect.
  • Encourage independence and community participation within the home.
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as tidying, cleaning, and laundering.
  • Support care at the end of life.
Candidate Requirements
  • Enjoy working with older people and demonstrate empathy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and undertake various tasks to ensure excellent care.
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and practical.
  • Experience in providing care, with understanding of dementia, is essential.
Hours and Benefits

Part-time: 20 hours/week, including alternate weekends

Shift: PM to PM
