Position Overview

• Job Title: Care Assistant
• Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
• Salary: From £12 per hour
• Job Type: FullTime
• Visa Sponsorship: COS (Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates)

Key Responsibilities

As a care assistant, you'll provide essential care and support in clients' homes, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Your tasks will include:

• Assisting with personal care, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Supporting clients with mobility and ensuring safety during transfers.
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding, if required.
• Administering or prompting medication based on the care plan.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Performing light household tasks for a clean and comfortable environment.
• Keeping accurate care records and reporting changes in clients' conditions.
• Working collaboratively with families and other care professionals.

Requirements

Must Have:

• At least 1 year of care-at-home experience in the UK.
• A valid driving license and access to a car.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK.
• SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to obtain it).
• Experience with eMAR (electronic medication administration records) systems.
• Knowledge of Scottish regulatory requirements for care at home.
