Qualifications

MPA Recruitment are a dedicated Healthcare Agency committed to providing the highest standard of patient care, and we are delighted to share that we have been awarded first place supplier for all nursing auxiliaries/ care assistants throughout all the hospitals in NI. This means that we get first refusal on all shifts across all wards in every hospital and have a wide range of shifts available, long days, night shifts, AM shifts, PM shifts and twilights . We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistants to join our supportive and friendly team. We are heavily recruiting in the Derry/Londonderry area at present .

Responsibilities
  • Assisting patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
  • Supporting individuals with mobility and helping them move safely around the facility
  • Monitoring and recording patients' conditions, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Helping patients with day-to-day tasks and encouraging independence
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Ensuring that patient rooms and care areas are clean, tidy, and safe
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals and drinks
  • Following infection prevention protocols and safeguarding policies
  • Updating patient records accurately and timely under supervision
  • Supporting nurses with clinical tasks as trained and delegated
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous paid experience in a care setting (6 months min) in the last 5 years
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (preferred)
  • Able to demonstrate a caring, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Right to work in the UK (or applicable region)
  • NISCC Registration
