Responsibilities

• Assist residents at night with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers with safety awareness.

• Maintain accurate records of care and any changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment during night shifts.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to work night shifts to provide high-quality support to individuals in the care home. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of those in their care. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients throughout the night with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming
• Support individuals with mobility and transfer activities, always ensuring safety.
• Follow personalised care plans to meet each client's specific needs
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in condition
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
• Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients throughout the night.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a residential care setting or providing home care.
• Can follow detailed care plans accurately
• Has good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Has basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation
• Can communicate well to build rapport with clients and team members
• Is compassionate with a genuine desire to support others
• Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a care team
