Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility situated in Warrington, Cheshire. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, avoiding agency staff for over 4 years, to ensure continuity of care and foster trusting relationships with residents. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising the Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. This includes overseeing dining room preparation, cleanliness, setup, and ensuring meals are served timely, presentably, and correctly. The role involves leading a team of Hospitality Assistants, managing rotas, providing training, and supervising staff. A 40-hour contract is available, with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the provision of high-standard hospitality services.
  2. Support and assist visitors.
  3. Inform the Chef of any individual dietary requirements of residents.
  4. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as per company HACCP standards.
  5. Ensure adherence to all training provided.
  6. Accurately complete records and reports, including cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
  7. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to ensure quality service during shifts.
  8. Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
  9. Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
  2. Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
  3. Effective communication skills are essential.
  4. Participation in activities organized in the home is required.
