Qualifications

Our stunning new home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed care facility situated in Warrington, Cheshire. Opened in April 2023, it provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with a variety of needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. We have maintained a zero agency staff record for over 4 years by employing a dedicated, permanent team to ensure continuity of care. All staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.

We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and enthusiastic Care Assistants to join our night team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with their Care Plans and contribute to the smooth running of the Care Home. Full-time contracts are available with an excellent hourly rate of £12.25, paid for all staff regardless of age. Shift times are 19:45 - 08:00, with paid handover.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver hands-on, person-centred care to residents.
  2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.

  4. Assist residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with care plans.
  5. Contribute to daily records of residents.
  6. Work effectively as part of a team and undertake delegated tasks efficiently.
  7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in your care.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment is preferable.
  2. Care Certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
  3. Good knowledge of caring for older people.
  4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
  5. Ability to work well in a team.
  6. Self-motivated and confident.
