Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Acer Court Care Home in Nottingham. You will support residents with personal care and join a compassionate team dedicated to high-quality care.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive induction and training are provided; we value empathy, reliability, and a respectful approach to residents and colleagues.

  • Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

  • Recognise clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate risks promptly.
  • Interact courteously with residents and visitors, respecting dignity.

Location: Acer Court Care Home in Nottingham

About The Role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
