Job description

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Care Assistant. Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal hygiene, recognizing and understanding clinical risk areas, acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, and practicing safe systems of work.

Job responsibilities

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements

Please note this role will require:

  • A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
